The new Managed Security training session held on the 23rd May at Regus – Manchester Towers was a resounding success, with some excellent feedback from both technical and non-technical members. Attendees were as follows:

The session covered Internet security as an overall topic, including some compelling statistics of costs to companies who have experienced breaches of their own networks/security. The new Zen Managed Security products (including the Fortinet hardware) were also explained in more detail covering what is included as far as the managed contract is concerned and why we chose Fortinet as our supplier. Selling points, the partner sales process, prices and partner commission were also discussed.
2 members of our Network Solutions team were also present, Neil Perry and David Knowles who, as security experts, were able to outline the important aspects that need to be considered in today’s ever changing arena of Internet security, as well as the serious threats not having sufficient security can pose to a business. They explained why the focus of Internet threats was becoming more diverse, and how the new Managed Security products could combat these threats, including a demonstration of a Fortinet UTM device in action.
Due to the success of the training, which illustrated that the Managed Security arena is a growing market and will become more important due to its recent and forecasted growth, we will be arranging further sessions over the coming months.
